Grant Tracker by Grantage (“Grant Tracker,” “we,” “us”) is a free grant intelligence tool offered by Grantage. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control your information.
1. Information we collect
When you create an account or use Grant Tracker, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash), organization name, organization type, and grant interests you choose to share.
- Profile information: optional details such as location, project focus, funding need, budget range, and project timeline.
- Activity within the app: grants you save, alert preferences you set, and content you submit via contact forms.
- Technical information: standard server log data (IP address, browser, device, referring URL, timestamps) and basic analytics events (e.g., page views).
- Optional Google sign-in data: if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID per your Google permissions.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Create and operate your account.
- Provide saved-grant tracking, search filters, and exports.
- Send the alerts and notifications you request.
- Improve product features, content, and reliability.
- Communicate with you about Grant Tracker, related Grantage resources, and grant opportunities that may be relevant to your work.
We do not sell your personal information and we never share your account email with third parties for advertising purposes.
3. Service providers
We use limited third-party infrastructure to deliver Grant Tracker (database hosting, transactional email delivery for alerts, optional Google authentication, and analytics). These providers process information solely to operate the service on our behalf.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and minimal analytics cookies to understand how the product is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
5. Your choices and rights
- You can update your name, organization, interests, and other profile fields at any time on the Profile page.
- You can disable email alerts on the Alerts page or delete your account from the Profile page.
- Account deletion permanently removes your saved grants, alert preferences, and profile data. This action cannot be undone.

6. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards — password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and provider-managed encryption at rest. No service is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong, unique password.
7. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we promptly delete your profile, saved grants, and alert preferences. Server logs are retained for a limited time for operations and abuse prevention.
8. Children
Grant Tracker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above and, when appropriate, in-app notice.
